Dr. Terry D. Taylor
Terry D. Taylor, D.D.S., M.S. earned a Bachelor of Arts in Mammalian Physiology from Southern Illinois University, followed by a Bachelor of Science and his dental degree from the University of Illinois. He went on to complete his oral and maxillofacial surgery specialty training in 1982 and a Master of Science in 1984 at UTHealth Houston School of Dentistry.
Dr. Taylor joined the faculty at UTHealth Houston immediately after completing his own training program. By 1993, he had earned the rank of Academic Professor and served five years as Director of Residency Training, shaping the next generation of oral and maxillofacial surgeons before entering private practice. Even after transitioning to private practice, he maintained a Clinical Professor appointment to stay involved in resident training.
Now practicing alongside Dr. Justin Seaman and Dr. Andrew Bhagyam at Lighthouse Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, Dr. Taylor brings decades of surgical and academic experience to every patient he treats, with a particular focus on mentorship, precision, and steady, unhurried care.
